A few of you expressed some delight upon seeing this floral fabric I showed in my last post. I bought it at an op shop a few months ago, sensing some possibility in it, willing myself to really like it.
It hasn't happened. It's just too seventies for me. I'm a 50's and 60's gal.
So of course, what do you do with fabric that you know others covet and you don't really want?
You have a giveaway, that's what you do!! The fabric measures 133cm long x 118cm wide and is a heavier weight decorator fabric. Perfect condition. Just so very brown!!

In the seventies brown was fabulous because....everything was so darn bright in the 60s and everyone got sick of wearing sunglasses :)...so it was a decade of fresh-air.

In the seventies, brown was fabulous for mums because it covered the mudstains on kids' clothes because they still played outside and hadn't even heard of video games yet !

In the seventies, brown was fabulous because as the youngest of 6 girls it was one of the only colors Mom bought for hand me downs. It went through all our skin tones, hair colors and eys without clashing badly with any of us!
I'm the youngest so my brown was washed well but I loved it. I have red hair and blue eyes and sisters are brown haired so it passed through each of us and looked great!
I love the new color browns and old alike.
I guess boils down to me liking brown because of it's beautiful rich tones of color and durablity!
Thanks,
Lacey
