If you get lost in the woods....

you had better hope you come across this little house.

Made from gingerbread, lollipops, cupcakes and candy flowers, this little house should provide more than enough sustenance until your rescuers arrive!

Featuring a little roof which can be easily removed by young fingers, this little gingerbread house is for imaginative play, carrying precious treasures or even storing secret messages!

I am over the moon that my secret project is now finished. Thanks go to Mr Silly Gilly for some initial ideas and Ms Ric-Rac for your help along the way.

So what do you think? Is this something you could see yourself making? Do you think your kidlets would play with it?

Edited to add: Okay so perhaps this is my roundabout way of saying..... here is a new design I have created that I am thinking of releasing as a pattern. What do you think? Should I go ahead and write it up???

Gillian, you must be so pleased with it - it looks fantastic ! I love how the roof opens, surely the nicest sort of bag a child could have!
It is just gorgeous - so super glad you stuck with it! Worth all the effort!

It's a cute little bag. I've long contemplated a little house. I saw a tutorial for a little barn once, but your gingerbread home is wonderful. A totally great treat would be to pair it with hansel and gretel dolls!

Fantastic. Definitely not the sort of thing I could make myself so yep, a pattern is a great idea. Good work!

GO for it Gillian but I would add a little Hansel and gretel doll or a witch inside it for a perfect imaginary story play set.

That is so cute - I have seen a barn yard style one by UK lass in the US. But love the girly twist to this one.

very inspirational. I have a handicapped child and I really need to come up with a better bag or something to carry her eating equipment when we go to a restaurant. right now it is so clumsy. I will put on my thinking cap and hope it can figure something half as nice.
